Cosmologies
Cosmologies. Galaxies. Star clusters. Black holes. A collection of points of light scattered in the sky above us. These are all the clues we have about the nature of the universe. Everything we know about it - we will learn through watching and observing the flashes of light that surround us night after night.
And so is this body of work: in order to record the flashes of light that surround me, I use a mechanism that allows the camera to rotate 360 degrees on an axis while taking photos - photos that are taken with an exposure of about 5 minutes each - and this is how I capture my house, my family, the street where I live , the neighborhood and my city. Each such photograph places me in the center and turns the lights in my life into circles around me, into flickering hints that remain after the mere rotation of the camera during the exposure smeared and blurred all the details.
