Restless

The photographs in this body of work were made using long exposures, while the camera - a pinhole camera that uses medium format film - is in motion in the public space. Sometimes it is held in my hand while I walk around the city, sometimes it is mounted on a vehicle - a bicycle or a car - and at times it is a specially-built camera with a motor and wheels moving independently and taking pictures.

In one image I document a journey - from end to end - along all the Ayalon South highway, and in another image: movement in circles around a beachfront shed, for many minutes, until it blurs and the image is transformed into a dark vortex gaping in the sky.
